    Milhouse Mussolini Van Houten is the only child of Kirk and Luann Van Houten. He is a gullible nerd of average intelligence and is therefore often a victim of pranks and bullies. He has a lack of social skills which often hinders him from obtaining the girl he has a crush on, Bart's younger sister Lisa.

    • Milhouse is one of the few residents in Springfield with eyebrows, a trait he shares with his parents.
    • Milhouse was named after US President Richard Nixon, whose middle name was Milhous.
