Overview
Microsoft Jackpot was a free-to-play virtual slot machine collection developed and digitally released by Microsoft Studios (co-developed with Arkadium) for the PC on January 5, 2015. It was later delisted on December 19, 2018, with its online servers closed on June 19, 2019.
Part of the Microsoft Casual Games series, Microsoft Jackpot featured five original virtual slot machines (four of which are locked from the start): a mayan-themed machine (Treasure of the Ancients), a spy-themed machine (Jackpots Are Forever), a candy-themed machine (Sweet Riches), an aquatic-themed machine (Wild Ocean), and a Chinese-themed machine (Year of The Dragon). Along with a different theme, each game had their own unique mini-game.
It had Xbox Live support (including achievements and leaderboards) and, as a free-to-play game, it used in-game advertisements which could be disabled by purchasing a monthly/yearly Premium membership. Unlike most games in the series, it also used a microtransaction system.
