So Nintendo has confirmed that they will no longer be replenishing stocks of Metroid Prime Trilogy. Once it's gone, it's gone. This is going to be rare to find 2nd hand cause for most people that bought this are getting it knowing they will keep it for life. Now here's my predicament...I am skint! I am a student literally in my overdraft, scraping the bottom. So it comes to this...buy Metroid Prime, risk not paying my rent this month. Or miss out on it, possibly find it on amazon in 6 months time for £2000 and regret it tremendously, but still have my house. Having just got a Wii, thinking now is the time to get it as it's cheap plus there are a good 5-10 games that must be played on it, I feel Metroid Prime is essential. This is one of those moments everyone who games experiences, I've got to decide just how important gaming is in my life!

There's already a thread on.... oh, wait.  I'd say make paying the rent a top priority, always.

Perhaps a good idea to move this to the MP Triologies game page despite there being a already a nearly identical thread there.
 
Pay your rent by the way. You can't play video games if you don't have a place to live can you?

Besides, I've heard that the Trilogy has some graphics downscaled/changed, not for the better.

You're paying rent...on a house. You don't pay a mortgage like everyone else?

If you really want the game that badly, couldn't you sell some games or other stuff you own to pay for it? But either way rent has got to come first.

Softmod your Wii... If you already bought the games back in on the gamecube, it's not like your stealing.... Right?

Pay the rent. When you come up on extra money, I'm sure you'll find it again. The reason why they stopped production is because they didn't sell enough. So they're out there.

Not a big deal.  The games look worse on the Wii than they did on the GC, and the idea of playing the first two games with MP3 controls presents two problems for me.
 
1- I dislike MP3's controls. I'd rather play it with a 360 pad.
2- Metroid Prime 2 was extremely boring and completely bland.
 
Better to just secure a copy of the first game on GC, which is still the best game in the series anyway, and just replay that whenever you get the itch.

The cube versions of 1 and 2 aren't that pricey and last I saw niether was Corruption by itself. Buy them seperate down the road if the trilogy is too much when you can get to it.
