Hella fun. Spend 10min with the game and try to disagree 0
Finally. This game delivers on all the promises any star wars, gta, or even stealth titles ever enticed us with. Mercenaries is an engrossing world at war that you don't play so much as experience. If you can see it, the odds are you can get there. The struggle is epic, and you really get a sense of being either all alone against the world or at times, part of a great faction.Mercenaries controls much like i/o's freedom fighters but better. The graphics are adequate, but the real genius is in ho...

Mercenaries: Playground of Destruction 0
Mercenaries: Playground of Destruction really brought the highlights on the PS2. It's fun, destruction, and reality makes it look like a Grand Theft Auto game, but in an unknown war. You can choose one out of three mercs to play as throughout the game. The main point of this game is to seek, hunt, and capture a NK Official dead or alive. The list of Officials are labeled as a deck of cards (Clubs, Diamonds, Hearts, and Spades). At the beginning of the game you are delivered to a chaos filled DMZ...

Almost, but not quite. 0
Mercenaries: Playground of Destruction is another take on the popular open world theme of gaming. Rather than shooting up citizens and police officers you're going after various factions this time. One things stays the same in terms of the open world formula though, and that is that your main goal is to make as much money as humanly possible. But how well does this all work?Technically, the game is obviously too much for the Playstation 2. I haven't played any of the other versions so I don't kn...

Good game, But no Lasting Appeal 0
I decided to get Mercinaries because I love shooters and thought I would give this game a try. Ok, so you just wanna know, "IS this game any GOOD?" I'm here to tell you, it is, but it does tire a bit after awhile.Gameplay: Throughout the game you'll play as one of three mercenaries that are controlled in 3rd person, as you create havoc. The controls are well fitted to the games fast paced action, so you won't be looking for the C4 button, it's all there within reach. To compare this with another...

Fun but repetative. 0
This game is quite fun at first. It has that Grand Theft Auto feel at first but then quickly fades away. The map is pretty small for a free roaming environment. The landscape is bare with the exception of a few trees , mountains , water streams and a few buildings. Other then that it's your deserted war area feel. You are able to go off the roads but you are most often stopped by mountain ranges that have too much of an incline to climb. Thus forcing you to follow the road, or near it, most of th...
