    Mariska can be heard in two audio logs found in Neptune's Bounty and one additional log found in Arcadia. Her daughter, Masha, was born in Rapture. One day, Masha was taken by Andrew Ryan's men; he claimed that she could be of much help to them and save Rapture.

    Soon after, Mariska and her husband Samuel saw that Masha had been turned into a Little Sister. After seeing her extract ADAM from a corpse, a depressed Mariska returned to her room with her husband and the two of them committed suicide via overdose on pills. Their corpses can be found embracing next to a picture of Masha.
