One of Sonic the Hedgehog's sidekicks. She is a pink hedgehog who was first introduced to the series on September 23, 1993. She was not created by the Sonic team.
Bingo (blue) and Bongo (pink) are a pair of two, small bears operating in larger bear suits, and appear as main characters in Sega's Samba de Amigo franchise. Outside of their suits, the pair of boys are small, brown bears.
Introduced to the Mario series with Doki Doki Panic, Birdo is an effeminate dinosaur with a penchant for cute things. Although initially a boss enemy, nowadays she mostly appears as a friendly side character.
Blaze is Sonic the Hedgehog's rival of sorts, debuting in Sonic Rush and appearing in several titles since. She is played by Bella Hudson in the English version and by Nao Takamori in the Japanese version.
Bowser is one of the most iconic villains in gaming. His role as the main antagonist in the Mario franchise has cemented this King of Koopas' status in video game history.
Bowser Jr. is the son of Bowser and the main antagonist of Super Mario Sunshine and New Super Mario Bros. He loves to play sports with his dad in various Mario sport titles like tennis, golf, basketball and kart racing!
Cream is a young mild mannered rabbit. Along with her Chao friend Cheese, she appeared in Sonic Advance 2, and later in other Sonic games, whilst also making cameo appearences.
Diddy Kong made his first appearance in 1994 as Donkey Kong's side-kick in Donkey Kong Country for the SNES. Since then, he has starred in numerous Donkey Kong games, his own Diddy Kong Racing games and Mario sports titles. He wears a red Nintendo hat.
The Original Donkey Kong made his debut in the game of the same name, where he tossed barrels at his nemesis Mario. His grandson, Donkey Kong Jr., went on to create a legacy of his own in games such as Donkey Kong Country and Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze.
Dr. Robotnik, also known as Dr. Eggman, is the antagonist in nearly every Sonic the Hedgehog title.
The last of the E-100 series of robots, created by Dr. Eggman.
A robotic minion of Dr. Eggman which come in many varieties each with their own unique abilities and weaponry.

First appeared in Knuckles' Chaotix, and has appeared in a few more games since then. One of the more prominent members of the Chaotix.
Jet the Hawk is a skilled rider of Extreme Gear, and is also the leader of the Babylon Rogues. He has a rivalry with Sonic the Hedgehog, and has clashed with him twice so far in both of the Sonic Riders games.
Made his first appearance in Sonic the Hedgehog 3 and is now a mainstay in the franchise. He also enjoys a friendly rivalry with Sonic and rapping about the places he visits.
Lakitu has appeared in a variety of Mario games; from Super Mario Bros on the NES right up to Mario Kart 7. He is responsible for dropping Spinies onto the levels below, holding up signs and his very own start signal from all nine Mario Kart games.
Larry is the second youngest child of Bowser. He is the self-proclaimed king of eavesdropping.
The oldest koopaling and longtime second-in-command of Bowser. He composes "Koopa Symphonies" and is a great inventor to boot.
Luigi is Mario's brother. He began as a simple palette swap of Mario, but was later differentiated. In his later forays, he provides comic relief.
Originally a carpenter named Jumpman, this Italian plumber has gone on to become the most recognizable video game character of them all, starring in a veritable pantheon of titles like kart racing and sports. He has been voiced by Charles Martinet for nearly 20 years.
Metal Sonic is a robotic Sonic created by Dr. Robotnik and has appeared in various Sonic games and spin-offs.
Nabbit is a rabbit thief that would steal from Toad's House in New Super Mario Bros. U. He became a playable character in New Super Luigi U.
Orbot (also known as SA-55) is one of the two secondary antagonists of the current Sonic the Hedgehog video game franchise who serves as one of Doctor Eggman's henchmen. He likes to use his "circuits" and hang around with his best friend (and much more dull counterpart), Cubot.
Pom Pom is Boom Boom's partner
Luigi's love interest and Peach's sidekick. She's the princess of Sarasaland.
Princess Peach Toadstool is usually the damsel in distress from the Mario franchise. She gets kidnapped frequently by Bowser, though she's not averse to being captured by various other villains from time to time.
Rosalina is a character from the Mario Universe who first appeared in Super Mario Galaxy as an NPC before becoming a playable character in later appearances. She is voiced by Mercedes Rose in all of her appearances to date.
Rouge is a professional treasure hunter and part time spy for the government first introduced in Sonic Adventure 2.
Roy Koopa is a general powerhouse and the third oldest son of Bowser.
