    Overview

Lookalike hardware refers to the presence of in-game items or devices that bear a resemblance to real-world video game hardware. An early example of this concept is the Stone of Agony, an item found in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. The item is a stone that, when possessed, will make a Rumble Pak vibrate when in the presence of hidden secretes; the vibrations grow more intense the closer the player is in proximity to the target. The stone is designed to also physically resemble the shape of an N64 Rumble Pak.
