    Kirrin, also known as Osman, is the protagonist of the arcade game Osman, which is considered a spiritual successor to Strider, designed by the same team.

    Hailing from a future cyberpunk Arabian Gulf region (anticipating the rise of Dubai), Osman is more or less like the Middle-Eastern equivalent to Strider Hiryu. In contrast to Strider's sword-slashing, Osman fights bare-handed with martial arts, without any weapons, using a variety of wind-fast kicks that deal as much damage as Strider's sword. He is also capable of performing an Izuna drop move, much like Ryu Hayabusa in the later Ninja Gaiden games.

    Osman wears Middle-Eastern "Harem pants", which MC Hammer popularized in the West in the 80's and 90's.
