Time 100 of 2012 covers influential people during the course of 2011, much the same way that the 2012 Oscars cover films that took place 2011...or the 2012 Emmys...or the 2012 Tonys...etc etc etc.

Isn't Kony 2012 from 2012 though? And totally not a person?

They have also got Ali Khamenei, LMFAO and Kony 2012 in that list. I am starting to doubt the integrity of this list.

But I did vote for Ken Levine. Hell of a guy.

Remember, it's less about real influence than it is about American pop culture influence.

Shawn Elliott deserves to be on that list more than Levine, solely based on his twitter.

Shawn Elliott is the only reason I ever go on twitter.

There's a person in there from the games industry every year (it's like a category to be filled), so it's not as big of a deal as you're making it out to be. It's still cool, though.

Hmm seems a strange addition. I love him though, the interview Jeff did with him for Infinite is one of my favorite things Giant Bomb has done. I'll vote for him for anything.
