Who cares? Eidos isn't advertising on Destructoid like they were with Gamespot so there's nothing to be worried about. Though, I would prefer a repeat of the Gerstmanngate incident in this case. Jim Sterling is disgusting.

If Kane and Lynch 2 is a 1, and thats an OK game, then...what does a game have to do to get a 10? Their entire numerical scale is just confusing now! I guess Gears of War would be like a 5. Tekken 3 would be a 4. Uncharted 2 could be like a 5.5 or something. Icecream blowjobs made of superpowers and money could get a 6, maybe. Nothing will ever be good enough for a 9.

I'm not sure if I should love this guy or hate him.
Have to get one off Ebay now, they were a limited edition. You can still get the regular "Blowjobs Made of Money" version, but many users have reported complications involving paper cuts and ink related skin irritation.
I think the difference is that Gamespot is a way bigger name then Destructoid, so eidos cared more about what Gamespot said then what a site like Destructoid would say. Asso, the main reason something would have happened (again, were not 100 percent certain he was fired because of the review, we just assumed) was because Eidos did a Shat load of ads on the Gamespot site, so maybe they felt entitled to a good review for spending all that money. I dont think Eidos did that with Destructoid.

There is such a thing as objective writing in journalism, though. Giving AC 2 a 4.0 was ridiculous. I hate sports sim games, but I wouldn't go giving one an overly low score just because I personally hate the genre. And K&L 2 might be a shitty game that I will never buy, but unless it's erasing hard drives, it doesn't deserve a 1. Stirling is an attention whore who somehow still manages to get his shit reviews on metacritic. He is the Jersey Shore of video game reviewers.

I'm not replying to Jim's posts on the Destructoid website. How far do you keep quiet instead of complaining about something that bothers you?

It's human nature to want to talk about things that bother you. I'm not linking to Destructoid, and that's about as far as I can take that. In fact, I specifically linked to a site that is specifcally designed to NOT give Destructoid page hits.
Besides, other than Stirling, Destructoid is actually one of the better gaming blogs.
The score seems way too harsh to me. To the point of being totally unprofessional just to spit in the face of Eidos after everything that happened with Jeff's review of the first game. I don't like it.
I've played this game and the review is extremely unfair to the game. I'm not saying it's amazing, but it's not complete trash like the review makes it out to be.
The problem with Sterling is that he doesn't understand satire. It's supposed to be subtle, or at the very least not overt. His attempt at being satiric, or at least subversive are about as subtle as being cudgeled in the face.
