    Ishbal is an important place, as this is the place where the Ishballen Massacre occurred. Where the Military of Amestris came and slaughter thousands of Ishballens, because the area was to difficult to subdue. This is also the place that Scar, an antagonist, was born and raised until the death of his brother. As is the place where Winry Rockbells parents, who were doctors (not Ishballen) trying save an Ishballens life, was killed by Roy Mustang.
