    Overview

Infinite Realms takes pace in a fictional universe. Earth is a thing of the past, and new planets are constantly sought out for colonization and, more importantly, resources.

After a long war between the known races known as the Great Resource War, resources were depleted with no clear victor. Faced with mutual annihilation, the known races finally reached a fragile peace, maintained by a council of representatives from each major race: Humans, Mhad'ul, S'uhrden, Psodrinar, and the Xuleth.

Gameplay comprises of building an outpost and building up resource production facilities, as well as an army to defend it. Planet surfaces can be explored and scanned for enemy camps, other player outposts, resource fields and other oddities like advanced citadels.

From the beginning, players are guided by the Mhad'ul Chancellor Ten'lev, council representative for his race.

    Races

    Human

Having destroyed their home planet centuries ago, Humans were forced to roam space as nomads, seeking a new home. The first alien race they made contact with was a Psodrinar fleet, in an exile of their own. Their encounter suffered no hostilities, as they found much common ground in seeking out a new home. Although climates sought were radically different, they kept communications and trade throughout history, forming alliances when mutually threatened.

Humans and Psodrinars were also the first to successfully crossbreed, leading to mixed levels of tolerance from the other major races.

    Key Stat: Balanced

    Psodrinar

    Psodrinar Hero
    Psodrinar Hero

Originally an aquatic race, the Psodrinar were an underdeveloped culture from an ocean planet. They were subjugated and enslaved by the S'uhrden, their planet eventually ruined by over-exploitation from their new masters. Forced to use advanced technology to survive on the surface, they quickly discovered a knack for tinkering with all manner of machines, devices, and even ships.

Eventually escaping their masters using stolen ships they had improved in secret, they were free to wander the stars with some of the fastest vessels in the known universe.

Their representative, Jyddren, was key in founding the united council of races along with Ten'lev.

    Key Stat: Speed

    Mhad'ul

    Mhad'ul Hero
    Mhad'ul Hero

Although physically frail, the Mhad'ul are master politicians and diplomats. They were the first to advocate for a united council of the races, but it took the tragedy of the Great Resource War before it was finally realized. It is said that their home planet is a utopia, but since none save the Mhad'ul themselves are allowed on its surface, this statement is often doubted by the other races. Of the 5 major races, theirs is the least populous.

Although not the most advanced race, their skills in communication, persuasion and intrigue, along with a tendency to aid other races with cultural and technological advancements, have always put them at (or at the very least very near) the center of major historical events ever since they became space-faring.

Chancellor Ten'lev is himself a Mhad'ul who was key in ending the war and forming the council.

    Key Stat: Charisma

    S'uhrden

    S'uhrden Hero
    S'uhrden Hero

The shortest-lived race, the S'uhrden make up for their lifespans in numbers - with the highest reproduction rate of the known races, they are constantly overpopulated, highly competitive, and warmongering - both amongst themselves, and with other races to conquer and exploit. Maturing after only a handful of Human years, they able to replenish armies in an alarmingly short amount of time.

After the Great Resource War, the S'uhrden, last to call a ceasefire, finally found a place on the council of races after signing a treaty with the major races and freeing the remaining Psodrinars from their slavery.

They are, however, as ambitious as ever, and were quick to jump on board the first missions to pool remaining resources to explore new galaxies.

    Key Stat: Attack

    Xuleth

    Xuleth (from logo)
    Xuleth (from logo)

The most technologically advanced of the known races, the Xuleth are somewhat secretive and shrouded in mystery - as visible as they are in the known universe, they tend to keep to themselves, and guard their technology jealously. They are incidentally the only race to never have lost any territory to the S'urhden.

Every adult Xuleth wears a visor - the exact reason as to why remains largely unknown to non-Xuleth. Scholars theorize they are worn as a symbol of their status and heritage, although this has been difficult to prove due to the isolationist nature of the race.

They have since opened up, if reluctantly and ever so slightly, to the other races after joining the united council following the end of the Great Resource War, however unless absolutely life-threatening, they have remained silent about their ways, technology, and origins. They have however been found to be the most ancient of the known races.

    Key Stat: Defense

    Resources

A major part of Infinite Realms is the race to come out on top by collecting the resources necessary for not only survival, but total domination of planets where they can be harvested.

    Rations

    No Caption Provided

This is the most basic and necessary resource - food. Anything that needs manpower to build or operate needs rations to feed the crews necessary to accomplish the task. In the outlying solar systems, Rations are almost as commonly exchanged as currency.

    Verdium

    No Caption Provided

A type of gas that is used as a highly efficient type of fuel. Although limited in supply, it only takes small quantities to achieve a high power output. Most vehicles and advanced facilities are powered by Verdium - it is especially important for space travel.

    Lucium

    No Caption Provided

An extremely hard type of crystal used in a variety of ways - from constructing spacecraft hulls capable of withstanding extended combat, to powering high-energy weaponry. Its relative abundance in the Archeon galaxy has been the cause of many an expedition to the uncharted and untamed planets within.

    Credits

    No Caption Provided

The universally accepted type of currency, established by the united council of races to facilitate exchange and cooperation between the newly united races.

    Population

    No Caption Provided

The amount of people available on the Mother Ship, determined by the level of its Living Quarters and its relevant upgrades. All combat units require a certain amount of Population to operate and maintain a unit - even solo Reapers need specialized technicians to keep their equipment in order.

    Outpost Buildings

    No Caption Provided

Planetary domination first starts with an Outpost - the base of operations where the player builds an army and resource production facilities.

    No Caption Provided

    Command Center

The level of the Command Center determines the level cap of the buildings within that Outpost, as well as which buildings, units and functions are available to the player. Outpost status and conquered surface locations can also be checked from here.

    Resource Production

    Rations Depot

A facility where Rations are produced - upgrading it increases Rations production rate.

    Refinery

A facility where Verdium is produced - upgrading it increases Verdium production rate.

    Lucium Processor

A facility where Lucium is produced - upgrading it increases Lucium production rate.

    Military

    Barracks

Where basic ground units are trained. Upgrading the facility increases training limits and unlocks further units:

    • Shock Troopers, at level 1
    • Reapers, at level 3
    • Wraiths, at level 7

    Armory

Where armored units are assembled. Upgrading the facility increases training limits and unlocks further units:

    • Raptors, level 1
    • Gaia Tanks, level 3
    • Titans, level 7

    Fleet Hangar

Where aircraft units are assembled. Upgrading the facility increases training limits and unlocks further units:

    • Strykers, level 1
    • Interceptors, level 3
    • Desolators, level 7

    Other

    Lounge

Where Heroes can be hired to lead units into battle. Heroes with white-colored names are average, whereas green ones are superior, and blue ones are the best available. There were plans for purple Heroes to be released in an update, but the game was shut down before they could be released.

Upgrading the Lounge increases the chance of finding better Heroes, as well as unlocking further recruitment slots.

    Radar Tower

Used to scan enemies on the surface map to get unit and Hero information. Each use requires a cooldown period before scanning again, but upgrading this building reduces the total cooldown time between scans.

    Defense Perimeter

Used to construct and place defense turrets around your Outpost to fend off enemy player attacks.

    Stargate

Once the player has more than a single Outpost, the Stargate can be used to transfer Heroes and their troops instantly between Outposts.
