Overview
Huey is the source of Mario's paint bending abilities in Colour Splash. For a talking paint can, he seems to have a thing for money and securing wealth. Like when Mario initially meets him, he asks if he wanna grab a burger and Mario is the one paying. He also expresses outrage and frustration over Mondo Woods' giant coin being equal in value to that of a normal one.
Due to being a bucket of paint, his eyes changes colour whenever he's in an extreme emotional state. Red when he is angry, blue when he is sad, purple when he is scared, and yellow when he is happy. Much like Kersti from the previous game, Huey's function as Mario's partner throughout the events of the game also includes being a guide to the game's various mechanics and a mouthpiece for Mario.
He's a generally cheerful individual, who only really gets upset when it comes to the misuse of paint and money.
