Home is where the heart is, and a good place to go back to when you want some rest. A home can also be a good place to save your game, change your clothes, and change your options.
Oh dear... I understand the appeal of Home for some, even though it doesn't appeal to me personally, but this is just weird, how can someone spend real money on stuff like that is beyond good, evil and my imagination.
I think I just watched a video from the future. The basic premise isn't anything I have a problem with, but with their blank doll-like faces and perfectly synchronised walking this does kind of look like an advert for clothing for robots.

WAIT A MINUTE! Some of those comments are cruel and unfounded. Don't judge all the females in Home based on one promo video made by one developer. The vast majority of us did not buy those outfits and many people protested loudly about them even being offered. Try reading "Sex Sells - but at what price" on the front page of HomeStation Magazine for more on that topic. And, for your information, although there are some men in Home who like to use female avatars ("for the eye candy" is their usual rationale), most of the females you see in Home are female. It is the Home for social gamers and we love to socialize and talk about our favorite games. You don't really know us, yet you choose to make snide remarks. How about being fair? Or, how about STFU?

I don't know why they chose this video out of all of the ones available for Home. That is a product video, not a Home video. There are a lot of those available to anyone who cares to take the time to look on You Tube. Home is the sum of its parts like any other community and that was just an infinitesimal fraction, that I don't think many people bought into, myself included. I agree with many of the comments about these so called pin-up girls, they are completely silly, and I think they were done so over the top on purpose, though what the developers motivation was is beyond me. If you go into Home you will see many unusual costumes, but I rarely see those pin- ups because I think they were a total flop after the initial sell. So using this as an example of what Home is is equally silly in my eyes.and I hope that it was meant as a joke and if so then none of those commenting here should take it seriously. I certainly didn't, even in Home.
@burbie52: Agreed 100%. The problem is that this site has a bit of an editorial bent with regard to virtual worlds like this. I believe it was Jeff who said that people who used virtual worlds were bad people. Now, besides the fact that Jeff can go fuck himself for such a sweeping generalization, it is one that is sadly held by many people on the outside looking in.
It's especially as on this board, however, with gamers on one hand crying for understanding and on the other being prejudicial pricks.
