The Warden and his/her companions arrive at Haven in search of Brother Genitivi, who they are looking for in the hope he can aid them in their quest for The Urn of Sacred Ashes; Andraste's ashes are their last hope to heal Arl Eamon. The party has already been attacked in their search for Brother Genitivi and Haven's distrust of outsiders and strange customs (Haven as a Revered Father, whereas the rest of The Chantry across almost all of Thedas only permits female priests) immediately puts them on their guard.
The party quickly discovers that the residents of Haven are Andraste cultists who engage in some form of blood sacrifices. There is a conflict between The Warden and his/her companions and the residents of Haven led by the Revered Father who attacks them magically. After defeating the Revered Father The Warden finds Brother Genitivi imprisoned in a secret room, he leads the party up the mountain to Andraste’s tomb, using an amulet retrieved from the Revered Father to unlock the doors.
A meeting between Chantry and mage officials attempting to find a peaceful resolution to the war between mages and the Templar Order ends in murder as an explosion kills many on both sides. The one survivor becomes The Inquisitor, leader of the Inquisition.
