I have just played through the Halo Wars demo and I enjoyed it but I am still not blown away by it. Built for 360 from the ground up but it still feels like a console RTS which hasnt been particularly succesful so far. I really want the Halo spin offs to enrich the univers rather than driving it into the ground ODST looks like it could do this but thats being made by Bungie. Will Bungie remain the only people who can make a good Halo game and truly understand the Halo universe or do you think Halo Wars will be awesome and want you to go back and start the fight you already ended.

I love the demo, its such an awesome game, the only flaw in my book is the lack of units, but with all the upgrades I dont know if it will get short or not. I really hope Ensemble can go out with a bang though, and I hope this game gets received well, and sells well.

The game controls amazingly well for a console RTS.
That being said, the game is overly simplistic...
collecting resources is a joke, the whole Battle for Middle-Earth style of fortress building makes sense for a console RTS, but it also makes the game feel limited.

Overall, the game remains more about controlling your units instead of creating a good defense, or a good economy... which makes the overall experience seem kind of shallow.

I still think it'll be a fun game, and it'll be cool to blaze through the story mode, but I don't see myself playing online for any stretch of time.

    It's an Ensemble game.
    Even more, it's their requiem.
I don't see how it could be bad.
