Alright, here are the rest of my levels so far:

  • (Mentioned before) Woowoo 1-1
    • Super Mario Bros. Ground level.
    • No scroll.
    • My first level!
    • Story: The princess has been kidnapped, of course! Mario must break through the Koopa, Gomba and Pirhana defenses to find her!
    • Hard but not crazy.
    • Code: 232A-0000-0012-FC17
    • 16 Stars, 14,50% completion rate.
  • Woowoo 1-2: Underground
    • Super Mario Bros. Underground level.
    • No scroll.
    • Story: Mario's adventure takes him underground, and finds the source of the Gomba spawns!
    • Not very hard.
    • Code: FF49-0000-0013-39E0
    • 2 Stars, 28,33% completion rate
  • Woowoo 1-3: Underwater
    • Super Mario Bros. Underwater level.
    • No scroll.
    • Story: Bowser's castle has been located, but Mario has to swim the moat in order to gain entry!
    • Short underwater level, cause I felt like I had to make at least one.
    • Code: 4DCA-0000-0013-553B
    • 0 Stars (*sad*), 18,36% completion rate.
  • Woowoo 1-4: Castle
    • Super Mario Bros. Castle level.
    • No scroll.
    • Story: Bowser's castle at last! Will the princess be here? Will Bowser be here? Only the vigilant will be able to find out the answers!
    • A hard castle level, as they should be. Room-based challenges, but nothing too crazy. Take your time.
    • Code: E5DA-0000-0013-C758
    • 1 Star, 3,33% completion rate.
  • Woowoo 2-1: Ghosthouse
    • Super Mario Bros. Ghosthouse level.
    • No scroll.
    • Story: Mario's having a nightmare, the ghosts of the past is haunting him, and he must venture through a corridor of rooms that keeps getting smaller, and smaller...
    • Keeping with a room-based challenge system here as well. Some memorization might be required.
    • Code: 4A9D-0000-0015-9D03
    • 1 Star, 11,11% completion rate.
  • Woowoo 2-2: Subterrainian Saws
    • Super Mario Bros. Underground level.
    • No scroll.
    • Story: Saws... Saws everywhere... Wake up Mario...
    • Inspired by Until Dawn, it contains some saws. Short and a little difficult.
    • Code: 7BB6-0000-0016-FD62
    • 1 Star, 3,12% completion rate.
  • Woowoo 2-3: To the skies
    • Super Mario Bros. Ground/Cloud level.
    • No scroll.
    • Story: Mario has woken up from his nightmare, and has to travel through the clouds, through the Para-Koopa defenses as the princess has been kidnapped, again!
    • The idea here was to make a level which would prepare you for the next level, 2-4. Not very hard as long as you can do some platforming.
    • Code: 8B32-0000-0018-A94F
    • 3 Stars, 11,42% completion rate.
  • Woowoo 2-4: Airship
    • Super Mario Bros. Airship level.
    • No scroll.
    • Story: After venturing "To the skies", Mario reaches an airship, will the princess be aboard?
    • Short, not very hard if you can dodge the projectiles and guards!
    • Code: CF46-0000-0018-AEE8
    • 4 Stars, 30,76% completion rate.
  • Woowoo 3-1: Bob-omb Encounter
    • Super Mario Bros. Ground/Underground level.
    • No scroll.
    • Story: After escaping the Airship, Mario investigates a pipe that spawns Bob-ombs, what lies beneath?
    • Not difficult with a little patience.
    • Code: BE05-0000-0020-76D4
    • 1 Star, 2,24% completion rate.

I can upload one more level, but I'm waiting for an idea for another level.. After uploading this level, I will have reached my 10-level limit, and require more stars. :(

Hope you guys will enjoy these levels tho! They were all made yesterday and today! Feedback is welcome here or in the comments on my levels! :D

So here's a couple stages I made, a fun one and a fairly difficult but not crazy hard platforming one.

So here are my contributions so far.

Being for the benefit of Mr. M - 1815-0000-0023-AD94

First Level, nothing spectacular, doable i think even though there's a little bit of maliciousness halfway through

Das Bullet - 27D0-0000-0025-C17E

They say an artists emotion flows into thier creations...I made this level because the second level i made cannot be completed yet because either i'm too dumb or i haven't unlocked the possiblilty of having pipes that actually transport Mario somewhere.

So i made this underwater bullet hell level. It's short but nasty (then again, i'm not really that good at Mario games overall, so maybe i overstate, but yeah....)

I made a Ghost House level in World. It's real spooky. It was complicated to make because of how many different "rooms" I have, but its a pretty straightforward level to play. I'm actually pretty proud of this one.

  • A Spooky Place: BD43-0000-0026-7132

Here's a level that can be run in about 25 Mario Seconds if you figure out the jump timing. There's also a secret room where you can turn into the Splatoon squid of your choice:

  • There Are Squids Here: 1590-0000-001C-2CC5

EDIT: I made a couple more.

  • Spooky Skeleton Castle: A88F-0000-0035-5421

  • Cargo Ships: 590A-0000-0035-A206

  • Sea-to-Sky Pipeline: 031C-0000-003F-20BA

Ended up making a ghost level after giving up on some shoddy Zelda-music levels I made :D

Here are my next two SMB1-themed levels. As before, I tried to adhere to the feel and elements of the original game, for the most part. I tried to add some secrets and risk/reward scenarios to each, to reward skillful or clever players.

Classic Underworld:

AC7E-0000-0027-4441

Classic Castle:

3CF9-0000-0028-1256

After this, I'll probably move onto SMB3 and SMW.

EDIT: Uploaded two more: Classic Airship and another one that's a bit different. Rather than spam up this thread with more codes, go to my in-game profile via one of the courses above to find them.

Bouncy! : 5144-0000-0028-7AC4

I just wanted to upload a stage featuring everything you get upfront (so don't expect anything crazy). It's a very doable level and with some luck, you can get to the top of the flag pole. Don't play if you can't stand the trampoline tho.

The spinning saws reminded me of Super Meat Boy, so I decided that I'd make an entire Super Meat Boy inspired level. With a lot of saws. Hope you enjoy it!

"Guide the Mushroom"

4AAD-0000-0025-ADCA

This was the first level I made. I had only unlocked one set of items when I made it. Tried to make it a little challenging without being unfair.

EDIT: When I have time, I'm going to play the majority (if not all) of these levels and give feedback. A lot of the levels I've played have been pretty crappy, completely unfair, or both, and I don't want the community cluttered with that garbage.

Spent all evening on one level. It's my tribute to Spelunky 1-1. [?] blocks all have mushrooms. Take your time and think before you act, like in Spelunky. I packed it full of references, I hope you can catch some of them. Enjoy!

made one called Cloud Surfing, you ride on clouds and maneuver through spikes and have to get on newly spawned clouds before the the olds ones dissipate. Above average difficulty i'd say.

E63F-0000-001F-88E1

another level called Bounce, self explanatory, easier than the above one but I think it's fun.

"THE MOUNTAIN"

68AF-0000-002A-89D3

First level. Playing with simulated verticality using doors. Inspired by the classic big staircase thing right before the flagpole in the original Super Mario Bros levels. What if the entire level was a huge one of those things?! Hopefully gives you a sense of climbing the side of a huge hill. Some mild challenges and fairly obvious secrets/exploration. Enjoy!

Messed around with making a level. I feel a lot of the ideas I've had have been very much Meat Boy influenced. Also I guess stuff like Jumper too. I just like tricky skill based level design like those games.

My second level seems to have picked up a few stars so maybe it's not that bad? Clear % is only 17 but I didn't think it was especially hard. Made with only the early tools, I haven't bothered fiddling with the clock yet. It's also not 1-1. So there's that.

Here's the rest of mine so far because why not.

Not 1-1 - A288-0000-0014-6C75

Also not 1-1 - 7109-0000-0015-DCB8

Unlikely to be 1-1 - 5F09-0000-0019-7894

1-1 except it isn't - 6097-0000-001F-329F

Rhythm Ruins (I got bored of my previous naming scheme!) 1127-0000-0020-C699

I gotta update the OP table, but i'm stuck making levels! D :

Since i still cannot/have not figured out how to make usable Pipes, i made a level where you go along one instead

Lower Pipeline - 0ED9-0000-002C-608E

...is a long Super Mario World level that i intended to reward a bit of patience and caution, as well as having a proper, "non gimmicky" feel to it. The last stretch may be a bit too tough, could've really used a checkpoint there : /

(also, i found out that there actually seems to be a soft limit of how much you can put in your level...at least concerning ground tiles, ?-Boxes and Coins)

Overall, i'm pretty happy with how this turned out and look forward to feedback!

Pyramid Jump Hammer (B223-0000-0023-1191)

My go at a classic Mario level!

Attic Attack (3B29-0000-002C-C2B9)

My go at a classic haunted mansion style level

Some other ones:

Turtle, Friend Or Foe? (0762-0000-0021-C5B9)

Tactical Turtle Action

Super Long Jump (91FF-0000-0023-C66F)

How far can you go?

No Caption Provided

Elevated Caves (3153-0000-0027-37C0)

Couldn't really think what to do at the end of this one, but I like the start...

Would love some feedback! Will be going through this list and doing the same for other duders =D

@frybird: Usuable pipes (that lead to subworlds) is the very last thing you unlock. They explain how to use them once you can make them. Just unlocked them myself, and can finally go back and properly "finish" the first level I worked on.

Regarding my own making, man is making a well-working auto-scrolling level time consuming! Well at least in the process of fiddling about, I figured out how it decides where to generate windows on airships. I feel smart.

"0C7B-000-002D-9DF1"

My latest level is called "Be Brave! Learning Para-beetles." It's an airship themed level featuring one of my favorite Mario 3 stage gimmicks, platforming on para-beetles, and I expect it to be challenging but satisfying. I'm especially proud of the secret area and how it's hinted at :D

Now to take a break and play some duder levels!

@jacksukeru: on the topic of automatic scenery generation, I realized last night that when it generates a tree (on SMB standard outdoor theme for example) you can copy that ground tile that the tree popped up on and just pile up a bunch of trees next to each other. Might be useful for aesthetic purposes. You can remove trees and bushes by doing the opposite (copying an empty floor tile over one that it generated a tree or bush on).

Some of the levels are pretty obnoxious truth be told. I just went through a long and dull maze one and at the very end got killed by a thwomp i couldn't see. Fun times. This is great but i hope the ratings etc help as sort of a culling process for the less stellar levels.

Also i probably just suck at mare-io now so disregard what i said?

@espgaluda: Yeah I realized something similar when it came to the windows of airships. It seems like it can generate one of two types of "ship" blocks when you put down the "ship" tile.

Let's call them plus (window) and minus (regular) to differentiate them.

Now most of the time it puts down minus tiles so they are the most plentiful, minus always look like the regular tiles. But every so often, randomly, it drops a plus block instead of a minus block. Just like minus blocks, plus blocks look like a regular tile unless it is completely surrounded by minus or plus blocks on all sides. When this happens the tile that is surrounded instead looks like a window.

Now multiple windows (plus tiles) can also be right next to each other and will all look like windows, so long as they are all surrounded by either version of the "ship" tile.

It's a small thing, but it was fun to figure out.

Here's my set of levels!

"First Level" - 8F66-0000-001A-399D

This was my attempt at creating a 1-1 level. I don't think it captures that feel very well, though

"Starz" - 78CA-0000-0023-268D

I started by trying to create something that made you go through a windy path, but at the end I said fuck it and gave you a high-speed finish. This is best level of the three, I think

"You don't need ground, do you?" - DF5C-0000-002F-AA09

I just unlocked the day 3 content, so here's something with Bill Blasters! And... not much else.

EDIT:

"Water levels suck" - 8A6C-0000-0030-93CA

Title says it all.

I've made a couple of simple ones since I'm still new at this. I'm particularly proud of my underwater one (called Watermelon). I don't think it's too tough, but I like the way it came out. I also named them all after food for some reason?

PUZZLUNKIN' : 92B9-0000-0033-2135

This is the kind of level I've been wanting to make for a long time in Mario Maker. It's set in a cave and features what are hopefully some fun puzzle aspects (hence the awful title). To complete the level you'll have to know what you're doing and the sequence to do them. A wrong move may not necessarily end in death, but may require you to restart.

I wish the game had some kind of community hub, I want to play all levels in this thread but entering the code is always kind of a hassle.
Still ill try to run through as many as I can.

@waluigi: You're right, your ghost house level was really well done. Devious, but fun

Yup, this. But it's Nintendo so I'm not terribly surprised. Japanese game companies tend to be bad at Internet connectivity stuff for some reason.
