This is the best poll that has ever been created on Giantbomb.
And there have been some pretty good polls.
More Depressing: Being lonely or being single w/ a cat.

Maybe it's just me but it seems like single men with cats are super depressing. If I ever were to be caught in that situation I might off myself.

Ultimately though I'd prefer to have a dog over both.

That's what I'm getting at. THe fact that some guys will get a cat because they think it makes them less lonely is SUPER DEPRESSING. I mean wow. So a cat will make you less loneley? That is sad.

Who are you to say what's sad and what's not? I find your inane posts sad, but I don't try to declare it as an objective fact.

Yes, you do. Besides, it's just an opinion. And my opinion is that if anyone is so lonely that they try and replace human contact with a cat - an animal that can't even love you back- then that is F'n depressin'
Living alone is definitely the worst. At least when you live with a cat, you don't have to worry about someone finding your body when you die as the cat will happily eat your carcase for dinner. You know the old saying - Live alone with a cat, die alone with a fat cat!

What? Roosters loves cats!
Obviously it's a mixed impression in here. Although c'mon let's all admit. A video game forum is sick with single men with cats.
If you're single and have a cat, then you're just living your lifestyle. If you're lonely, then you obviously rather site home and mope about being alone over going out and doing something about it. So that's definitely the depressing one.
Why is it wierd to have a cat and be single? It's called company. A pet is a pet no matter what race it is. I think it's much weirder to see a girl with five or six cats than a dude with one cat. Especially when you live alone. i feel like im trying to explain this to some 12 year olds.
What's so sad about a single man with a cat? If he bought the cat because of some crippling loneliness, then maybe ... but people can't just want a pet? I don't think I'd ever own one simply because I struggle to feed myself, let alone anything else but there are people out there that like animals and such.
It IS possible to be single and happy, you know. But very rarely do loneliness and happiness go together, so I voted for that.
Look, guys. The OP is clearly a super-gregarious playboy who spends all his time not being sad and lonely.
You say that people that are having a cat for company are '' sad ', and '' depressing ''. Seriously, dude, are you some kind of grinch in your prime teen angst? No one said you REPLACE your human social relationships with a cat. Cats, dogs and birds are just companions that can make your daily routine a lot less boring especially when you live on your own. I have a cat, I have a girlfriend and tons of friends, and let me tell you that I love my cat and I don't think that it's '' fucking depressing '', as you said.
Seriously, people these days.

Wow, dude, you just called your cat "company" that's what is depressing. Jesus Christ.

@FlamingHobo said:The companionship of a pet like a dog or cat is quite nice actually. Lol, you didn't even read the title of the thread. Nice job. It doesn't apply to you. If you have a girlfriend then get all the pets you want. Also, thanks for the BRAGGING that you have a girlfriend. Nice.

You shouldn't take him seriously, his profile is filled with pictures of cosplaying girls and anime. I think we know who's lonely now.

Being entirely alone (and feeling super lonely) is far more depressing to me than just being a single guy who isn't lonely and also owns a cat. Plus, ladies love cats.

I'm not trying to be provocative. I'm just wondering what the Giantbomb forumers think about this. Unfortunately it looks like a majority of us are single men with cats. :(
