I like Tyrkisk Peber. I think the others in my Biology class thought I was weird when I began laughing out loud from the GB crew screaming in agony through my earbuds...
Though, I'm not really a candy person. I always buy Kanelgifler or Freia Krokanrull when I get the munchies.

Turkisk Peppar [Swedish for Tyrkisk Peber] is actually a Danish candy made by the Perelly corporation in 1977. The Finnish corporation Fazer took over the brand in 1996.

I always thought it was a danish "invention" until the Bombcast guys came around and told me it was swedish.

Theory: Licorice and salty candy is more commonly digested in the Nordic countries than in America.

I love both Djungelvrål and Tyrkisk Peber. I'd like to hear the Giant Bomb crew try Ahlgren's Sura Bilar though =)

Scandinavian candy eclipses the 'merkin fake sugar laced silliness with the viking taste of getting a fist in the face. liquorish-style.

I want to try the stuff but it's like $8 for a fuckin' bag. I guess natural black licorice and Jelly Bellies will just have to do.

A friend of mine form Finland is sending me a nice variety of this stuff. I've come to the habit of calling it Swedish Rape Candy.
