Premium Podcasts On Itunes

How do I subscribe to premium podcasts on itunes?

Go to file -> Subscribe to Podcast -> insert http://www.giantbomb.com/podcast-xml/premium/

I believe that is the link, it should ask for your username/email and password, don't remember which

https://username:password@podcastlink

Type that into the subscribe to podcast bit.

Edit: I don't think you have to do that actually on iTunes, my bad.

Is there a way to do this on the phone itself?

Edit: Yes there is! On the iOS 8 Podcast app, search My Podcasts (yes, it makes no sense) for the full URL of the podcast you want to subscribe to. In this case: https://www.giantbomb.com/podcast-xml/premium/ ...The app will then prompt you for your giantbomb login user/pass, and you will get the Premium feed.

@nightriff: I keep trying to add the rss address to PodcastAddict on my android and it's not working, never asked for my username and password. Any ideas of a way to make it work?

I don't mind the commercials so much (it's kind of funny actually) but missing out on Dan and his Dad Christmas Podcast bums me out...who knows what other premium content I'm paying for and not listening to!

@ninjatard: I'm not familiar with that product, but if it is anything like Downcast, here are the instructions that have worked in the past for some other duders.

1. Open Downcast

2. Press Add on the bottom bar

3. Press Add Podcast Manually

4. In the Feed field type: http://www.giantbomb.com/podcast-xml/premium/

5. Input your username and password below that

EDIT: Find Dante_the_Jedi's post in the thread I posted and try that out as well, seemed to work for some duders in a bunch of other podcast apps

@nightriff: It keeps trying, and keeps failing. I've confirmed my password, and I've tried with both the email address and username.

Guess I have to keep hearing about Brett's exploits.
