A decent entry in the series, but aimed mainly at longtime fans. 6

Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn is the third America-released game in the Fire Emblem series, and the first sequel to a previous Fire Emblem game that American audiences have seen. Normally, sequels are an opportunity for developers to try something new or fix any flaws in the first game. While Radiant Dawn certainly refines many of the features from Path of Radiance, it also mucks up several features that previous games in the series have been doing correctly for years.  Being a sequel to the GameCub...

GameCube port stuck in the past. 2

Intelligent Systems Fire Emblem series has been around for nearly two decades dating all the way back to Famicom. Unfortunately it took 13 years before the series finally made its way to western markets. Over the several years it has been here, Fire Emblem has already gathered quite a large fan base, and now with the tenth installment (fourth in North America and Europe), can Intelligent keep the quality next to its predecessors or their other classics including Super Metroid? Fire Emblem: Radi...

Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn is a solid follow up. 0

I like Fire Emblem games alot. They're not my favorite Strategy RPG series, but they're up there. In some ways, I like Radiant Dawn more than Path of Radiance. For one, the missions are bigger and tougher, the CGI cutscenes are AMAZING. There are a few things I preferred about Path of Radiance though. In Path of Radiance, you followed Ike and his mercenary group. The story was alot easier to follow. In Radiant Dawn, you follow three groups. The stories intertwine and get really confusing. Radia...

A good challenge, and great fun 1

I played roughly 60 hours of this game, and loved most of it.  The in-battle saves were a godsend to the series and prevented me from throwing in the towel.  That said, this is quite a difficult game, especially if you're the type of person who does not like your characters to die (as I do, since in Fire Emblem this condition is permanent!).Turned based strategies can be hit or miss, and this is definitely a hit.  Do yourself a favor and try it....

    Best FE Ever 0

Playing through it for the 4th time. Best of the Fire Emblem series and one of my favorite games of all time. Great continuation of Path of Radiance's story with improvements in several gameplay areas such as bonus experience system, new weapons , simplification of supports, and others. Also, the in battle animations are greatly improved and feel much more like the flashy animations of the GBA games. This game is the pinnacle of turn based strategy....
