    Nintendo put remaking older Fire Emblem titles on the backburner after the fiscal failures that were the DS remakes of Shadow Dragon and New Mystery of the Emblem. It wasn’t until Awakening that Nintendo found their golden goose to revive the slow-selling series. Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia feels very out of place with that philosophy.
