I played the demo, it was honestly a really tough game, I got slaughtered, i'm not buying it.

my small list of steam games, maybe like 20 titles and i've only really played 2-3 and they were all more expensive ones.

Should I buy this? I have played like a couple of minutes of it, but that was a couple years ago. It is only $2.50, but I don't need another game that I won't finish.

Once you get past the first mission, more than likely you'll be completely addicted, continuing to play to see the next piece of the conspiracy puzzle.

I am going to buy this right now. I played it on the ps1 when i was younger but it was too complex for me little ol brain.
 
I hope it holds up to todays standards, i just wanna play it through as the new ones on the horizon.

Never played Deus Ex, but how do you not buy what is considered one of the best games of all time?

I have a question, is it worth getting the pack? I heard invisible war is sometimes considered as crap and not real Deus Ex, but is there story continuation? Should I buy the game? Hell on steam it has an 80% rating. Guys?

Are there are graphics mods? I've always wanted to play this game, but it's just so ugly.  
 
 
EDIT: Nevermind, I apparently can't read. 

Does the game hold up today? I mean maybe it was good before, I still died again at the demo and I simply don't like it compared to all the games i've played today.

 
I'm sure there are ppl in this thread who thinks it's the best game ever, I am not seeing that at all.  
 
If I use a graphics mod, will I be able to use 1080p? so far I can only select X1050. Also I hope the graphical mod will improve the animation, it's the worst looking animation i've ever seen in a game before. Maybe I should buy a copy of the game and not play it until way later. Then again I might be wasting my money considering I didn't enjoy the demo.

" @CowMuffins: Have you tried changing renderers in the graphics options? Alternately if you have a dx10 capable card there's a special renderer you can download for it, just google a bit. "

The extras are extras, of course, but getting the resolution and gui good and proper on your probably-widescreen monitor is important.

Going through Morrowind now and everyone said get mods. But I honestly feel like it takes away from the game to change it at all. And hell, i'm enjoying it a ton with its old graphics, which, imo, have aged BEAUTIFULLY, considering its 8 fucking years old. "

I totally bought it and I have never played the game before so hopefully I'll like it. If not oh well I got it for super cheap.

Went ahead and bought this since I never played Deus Ex. Not sure if I'll ever get around to playing it but it's there at least.

Ah fuck it, i'm just going to buy it so it's there, not sure if I even want to play it, however it's there at least even if I hate the demo. I'm right on the fence, however almost going to buy it, I have a few hours to decide at least. It's 50/50.

Word of advice to people jumping into Deus Ex for the first time: Swimming is fucking useless don't put anything into it.
