Smith's run
Appearances
• Day 2 ("Morning")
Smith's successful merchant brother, Theroux, has just announced his intent for marriage. Sweet Moreef suggests that Smith work together with a romantic swindler that will write him back into the will in exchange for the Banquod name and fortune. The player will be able to choose between working with Andwanette or Denikus. Whomever is chosen will leave the other ineligible for the rest of the run.
• Day 2 (Daytime)
Denikus agrees to the plan, but the verbal nature of their agreement doesn't guarantee trust. Smith is asked to complete a very illegal quest to prove his trustworthiness. Below are the potential quests; one is randomly chosen per run. It is impossible to fail the missions.
- Find out what is holding up Denikus's illegal smuggling operation at the docks.
- Organize the members of Denikus's lumin heist and make sure they perform their part.
• Day 2 (Evening)
While Smith was on the mission, Denikus filed his formal proposal for Theroux's hand in marriage along with (what Smith claims) was well-written poetry notes. Theroux accepted, and, satisfied with Smith's performance, Denikus prepares for the ceremony.
• Day 2 (Night)
After Smith completes a quest for Tei Utaro, he escorts Denikus to the ceremony. Along the way, a former scorned (and swindled) lover confronts them to take revenge on Denikus.
> If the player leaves Denikus to his fate, they gain his hate bonus and will confront Theroux alone.
> If the player defends Denikus through negotiation or battle successfully, he thanks Smith and they continue to the ceremony. Denikus will assist in this battle should the player choose that option.
At the ceremony, Denikus will officially marry Theroux. Smith will appear and battle Theroux's bodyguards while Theroux 'protects' Denikus from the scorned brother. (Note: Successfully escorting Denikus to the ceremony prevents Theroux from joining the battle, making this battle easier than confronting him alone)
> If the player kills Theroux, the player will gain Denikus's love bonus. Now he can spend the Banquod fortune freely.
>If the player spares Theroux, Smith and his brother reconcile their differences. Denikus will dislike the player; now he's stuck in a 4-year marriage where he will have eyes on his every move.
• Day 4 (night)
If the player killed Theroux, Denikus will be available at The Hideaway bar to assist Smith in the final mission.
• Epilogue
> If Theroux was spared after marrying Denikus, it's revealed that the marriage did not last.
> If Theroux was killed after marrying Denikus,
