I don't remember if the first game was like this - but if you stun a zombie without killing it, it seems to become immune to attacks until it gets up onto it's feet. You can swing all you want but your weapons will just whip right through the zombie like it isn't there until it stands up to a certain point...I don't know if this is a collision bug or by design, but it's annoying. I was surprised to find that attacking zombies on the ground seems useless unless you're using a specific weapon or device, like a lawnmower.

...oh man, the joys of Dead Rising.

There was a lot of stuff like this in the original too, but yeah...Dead Rising is Dead Rising.  :P

I know what you're talking about, but I generally didn't run into that issue in the first Dead Rising, as I used the small chainsaws for most of the game. Those zombies couldn't get back up even if they wanted to.

Well most swings miss Zombies, and you get a kurb stomp and some other moves to hit zombies on the ground but I haven't noticed any immunity/clipping issues. I've been able to kill zombies as they've started to get up without a problem.

I believe the first game was the same also. Man it's weird playing Case Zero because I'm like wow did Dead Rising 1 really control like this? So after playing it some, yes, yes it does.

Yeah it does that. The thing to remember is that there's like 50 other zombies within a 2 ft radius, so if you remember that then you don't have to worry about it.

    +It's called "dead rising" lol

I think it's by design. You can use your skill moves (Curb Stomp, Leg Sweep, Elbow Drop.. etc) to attack them while they are on the ground.

This immune after a hit thing made fighting the soldiers in the last game impossible for me.
