Dead Cells is a metroidvania style rogue-lite set in an ever-changing castle.

    How is the PS4 version?

I'm contemplating picking this up either on PC, Switch or PS4 pro.

PS4 Pro is honestly probably my preferred option for ease of use but if it's markedly better on PC in terms of performance I'd go with that

I would preface this by saying that I don't have the eye to discern resolutions and single-digit frame drops, but I've played over 50 runs thus far on my regular PS4 and I haven't noticed any performance issues. The loading times are reasonably short, the controls are responsive, and it has yet to crash.

Thanks, that's the main thing I care about. Framerates I don't care about unless a game noticeably chugs. Resolution, especially for a game with Dead Cells' style doesn't bother me.

Yeah loads and crashes and big frame rate drops were my main focus

I mean I am playing on Switch and that seems to be adequate (disclaimer: I haven't gotten to the later levels which is when the problems seem to arise) but so far it has been fine. I have to imagine PS4 is even better.
