    The bargain bin kids 0

One of my psychological pet peeves in all of gaming is a gimmicked title. Few things repel my wallet from a game store like seeing a game with a title that plays with improper punctuation (Punch-out!!!), numbers in place of letters (Left 4 Dead), or deranged capitalization (inFAMOUS.) So in spite of appearing to be the kind of clever, original game concept that would need all the financial support one could lend it against the oppressing brigade of space marine shooters and plastic instrument mu...

Surprisingly addictive and very charming, let down by controls 0

De Blob is a very surprising game, much more enjoyable than the 'kidified' box art would lead you to think and much lengthier than I thought it would be, I really enjoyed this charming title, despite a few technical issues. You play De Blob, the hero of the colour underground, a resistance movement fighting against the evil I.N.K.T corporation who have occupied Chroma City and turned all the inhabitants into boring, dull Graydians and removed all the colour from the world. Your job is to re-pain...

A fun, and charming painting/platforming game for Wii 0

You know that term, "Paint the town red"? Well, taken its most literal sense, it's what best describes what de Blob is all about. In it, you, as de Blob, are tasked with repainting the monochromatic Chroma City however you want (hence the "paint the town red" reference). How you'll do this is by stealing paint from spider-like machines called "Paintbots" (the things responsible the city's color loss), and using that paint by touching whatever you wish to paint which instantly covers it in the c...

    de Blob Review 0

By - Kai S.Imagine a world without any color. A world where everything was dark and gloomy, the only colors you will ever see are black, white and gray. That is exactly what the Raydians in de Blob are being forced to deal with after Comrade Black and the INKT Corporation took over their previously color filled world. But they aren’t going to sit around and take it, no, with your help they are going to fight back to restore the color of Chroma City.de Blob takes place in Chroma City which used t...

    Polished, But Lacking 1

I was pretty excited to try this game out because I read a whole lot of good things on the internet about it.  After playing it, I must say however, that the game was lacking for me in a couple of key areas.  The controls work well enough, but it's extremely hard to really maneuver around any tight spaces.  Luckily, you never really have to so it's not a huge problem. The story also just didn't do it for me. The cut scenes are really well done, but the story is delivered terribly when you're actu...

de Blob makes up for some shortcomings with brilliant mechanics. 0

The revolution is at hand! Sure, you may have heard that tons of times in the different worlds that compose the unified videogame ultraverse, but never have you heard it like this. de Blob's weapon isn't firepower or a superior naval force. His power is color, and never has color kicked so much ass. It may have a few minor setbacks, but de Blob overcomes them and delivers a great adventure that helps establish Wii's dominance over the realm of fun, creative IPs.    So, the game takes place i...

Paint the Town Red, Yellow, Blue.... 0

When the Nintendo Wii came out, I was as excited as a schoolboy on his first date, itching to get my hands on the pearly white rectangle and see what it can do to innovate the video gaming market. Now, almost two years since it’s release, the Wii has been fun, but somewhat stagnant in terms of its gameplay options. Few third party games have been made that truly revolutionize how we play games. In fact, most of them are downright appalling. Enter De Blob, a literal art project by D...

A Great Time To Be Sure 0

It's no secret that the Wii's game line-up has been lacking. Not mind-blowing by any means whatsoever. However, they do some get of the most random awesome titles out there. Boom Blox was one game. de Blob is another one. This game is, in every sense of the word, a Wii game. Nintendo consoles tend to attract these family-friendly games with unlikely mascots that have tons of depth if one chooses to really pursue it. In the world of de Blob, the INKT Corporation has taken over a city and h...

de Blob makes a big SPLAT! 0

De Blob is ready to paint the town red or blue or yellow and every color in-between with this release from THQ.   De Blob is a colorful romp of an adventure game.   Does this platformer give Mario a run for his money on his own system or does the game make just a big splat? De Blob takes place in Chroma City where everything is all bright and colorful until one day the I.N.K.T. Corporation invades the city and steals all of the color from the city.   The I.N.K.T. Corporation has also enslaved...
