I'm grabbing DS3 on Friday and trying to decide what to buy it for. My PC should be able to run it with no issues, but I have a 670 and heard that's one of the cards that can cause crashes and other issues.

I could get the PS4 version but would definitely prefer to go PC for the improved frame rate if possible.

I've likewise experienced zero crashes or stability issues since launch but I have an R390.

I can say that performance hasn't been SUPER smooth which is strange considering what I'm seeing on the screen.

i had my first crash last night, and I get some stuttering still when the game is auto saving and when i enter a new-ish area. No bonfire crashes or any of that craziness, but i started playing at like the 3rd patch.

Crashes early but that's gone away. I have a 700 series card too, for what that's worth. Got handled pretty quickly.

With the latest patch I still get the occasional stutter-on-save issue, and a few dips here and there in certain spots (engine-related), but otherwise it's fine.

The bonfire crash stopped for me when we got 1.3.1 or whatever they called it, but the game still doesn't exactly run well, considering it's not exactly a graphical powerhouse.

Considering it's always been stable for me (amd probably has to do with it), no. Performance on the other hand leaves something to be desired; still bummed i cant hit 60fps even on High/1080p.

I've yet to crash but I did find one area that dropped me down to 1 frame per second. So don't fight dudes while bouncing between two zones the game seems to want to load in assets and made the game drop frames.

The quick saves the game does can drop frames but nothing that would make me not want to play on the PC.

Full disclosure: I'm on the i3 Alienware alpha.

From what I understand the vast majority of stability problems were limited to Kepler architecture Nvidia cards. Personally I've had all of one crash during my time with the game and that was about 9 hours in.

I had it crash once on a 980 when loading a metric fuckload of summon signs. I think something about that just make it give up. I get stuttering when the game saves. Sometimes it' negligible, other times it will freeze the game upwards 30 seconds.

To provide some context, that one crash was over the course of 70 hours of gameplay, so. I hear it's cards from the 700 series that really struggle to keep it together.
