Dana was originally drafted by the Seattle SuperSonics in 1989 with the sixteenth overall pick. He eventually played for the Philadelphia 76ers, Boston Celtics, and Detroit Pistons during his NBA career. Dana made his lone All-Star appearance and won Most Improved Player in 1995. Dana has the distinction of being the last Sixer to wear number 3 before Allen Iverson joined the team. He was the former record holder for most consecutive games with a 3-pointer made at 89. The record has since been broken by Kyle Korver in 2014 at 127.
