    Dallas, Texas is a large city boasting over 1.3 Million residents within the city. In the county, over 6 Million reside. There are many major companies, such as ATT that have central hubs in Dallas. There are many sports teams in Dallas, that are seen in video games. Such as the Texas Rangers, Dallas Mavericks, Dallas Stars, and Dallas Cowboys.

    The city was founded in 1841, and it's economy is heavily based off of telecommunications, banking, computer tech, and energy (such as oil).
     
    Not only that, but there are a lot of influental gaming companies/events in the Dallas Area, including Quakecon, Id Software, Gearbox Software, and the recently closed 3d Realms.
