    Overview

Commando Raid is a 1982 shoot-'em-up released by U.S. Games for Atari 2600. It has been compared to Missile Command, but the player has more direct control over their shots. The story involved android paratroopers attacking an unnamed locale, and the player's goal is to shoot them down before they invade and destroy the nearby cities. The androids could also tunnel under the player's cannon and set off explosives to destroy it. Later levels employed bomber jets that would wipe out complete cities if their payload reaches a target.

CCE released a version later titled Normandy Landing. Nothing about the in-game content was changed, but the backstory made it seem as if the player were defending a castle in Normandy, France.
