Basketball Career
Chris Paul played high school basketball at West Forsyth High School in North Carolina. During his junior year there, he committed to play college basketball at Wake Forest. Paul played two seasons at Wake Forest before declaring for the 2005 NBA draft where he was selected 4th by the New Orleans Hornets. On March 2, 2011, Wake Forest retired his jersey
In 9 seasons in the NBA, Paul has averaged 19.1 points per game and 20.6 points per game in the playoffs. He is also considered to be one of the top passers in the league, averaging 9.9 assists per game for his career. In his nine years he has made the All Star Team seven times and he was named rookie of the year in 2006. On Decemeber 14, 2011 Chris Paul was traded to the Los Angeles Clippers along with two future seconded round draft picks in exchange for Eric Gordon, Chris Kaman, Al-Farouq Aminu, and the Minnesota Timberwolves' 2012 first round draft pick.
Bowling
Chris Paul is also an avid bowler. He is a spokesmen for the USBC (United States Bowling Congress). He has been on the cover of US Bowler. He also has stated that bowling is his passion but he plays basketball to pay the bills. He hosts a bowling charity event every year and one of them was shown on ESPN. He is good friends with fellow USBC spokesmen and pro bowler Chris Barnes.
