Overview
Charles Laveau is a major character in Mafia III.
He is the host of a pirate radio broadcast called "The Hollow Speaks", which primarily discusses racial equality and justice for black communities in New Bordeaux.
The Hollow Speaks
Charles Laveau is known to his audience as the Voice, he uses the Hollow Speaks as a platform to discuss current events surrounding racial injustice, the Vietnam war, the FBI's involvement with the death of Martin Luther King, Jr., and the legalization of marijuana.
The Hollow Speaks acts as a foil to Remy Duvall's "Native Son" broadcast. Whereas Native Son discusses topical events in a conservative fashion, the Hollow Speaks discusses the same events in the perspective of a black revolutionary.
Earl Wilson
The Voice discusses police chief Earl Wilson and calls him out for being ignorant.
The Death of Remy Duvall
After Remy Duvall's death at the hands of Lincoln Clay, the Voice celebrates his death and mocks the grieving residents of Frisco Fields. He then reveals the truth concerning Duvall's long-stemmed racism and involvement with the Southern Union.
Final Broadcast
Laveau is arrested on air and he urges his viewers to not repeat the mistakes of the past.
