    The Captain Planet games typically revolve around some kind of environmental crisis caused by an 'eco-villain'. The 'Planeteers', a group of teenagers armed with magic rings given to them by the Earth's spirit Gaia, will have to stop the disaster using their powers. Usually, the Planeteers will be unable to fix the problem on their own and have to combine their rings' powers to summon Captain Planet, a superhero imbued with the powers of Earth, Water, Wind, Fire and Heart. Captain Planet himself is playable in all of the games.
