Oh, that's all? I thought if it wasn't changed at all it was called a port, and remakes were made from scratch. This disappoints me.   : (

Wow, could the NES really punch out gradients like that? It looks real pretty.

It's a SNES game, released in chunks over the Satellaview, a Japan-only add-on that pulled games off of a satellite TV channel. Sections of the game were "broadcast" at different tiems, so you'd need to know the schedule and turn on your SNES at the right time to receive the download.

Those English screenshots probably come from a hacked-together-and-translated ROM of the game.

Super Famicom Snail. They were available on BSX and could be downloaded using the BS 5 Channel from St GIGA.

I hope they eventually release both Zelda Satellaview games on Wi Ware in English one day, they both look awesome.

You can see how LTTP was born when looking at the footage-

That second video is just awesome.

Wasn't there something similar with the Famicom Disk System?
I think I remember a Zelda coming out on Famicom Disk...

    EDIT

Oh yeah! Zelda was the first FDS game....

I dont understand how the remake of Zelda 1 isn't out on the eShop, but instead of having the boy/girl they re-did Zelda 1 Link with more colors/better graphics(stil dark hair, not pink hair), but also have the 2md and 3rd quests in the game.
