The lowest of all the angelic orders, angels are tasked with delivering God's messages to humans in addition to being personal guardians. Angel has also become a generic term for any such kind of heavenly being.
Demons are generally creatures of evil, usually from Hell, who are often totally untrustworthy even when they're not murdering everyone and destroying everything in their path.

Genies, which originated from Arabia, are supernatural creatures that are magical and many can grant wishes. Some have a lamp or bottle and the owner of said item has power over them, including forcing them back into it and making them stay there.
Giants are tall humanoid beings, found in mythology and various fairy tales. They are usually portrayed as being slow-witted and quick to anger, though gentler kinds also exist.
Games featuring guests introduce playable, established characters from outside of a franchise. Primarily but not exclusively seen in fighting games.
A winged creature from Greek mythology with the body of a bird and the head of a woman. Generally depicted as a winged woman with grotesque features with a mind full of bad habits.

Oni are a type of ogre/demonic creature from Japanese folklore. They are known for attacking and pillaging villages.
Pegasi are winged horses found in Greek Mythology.
A common character class that has appeared in every entry in the Fire Emblem series.
Puppets are a type of doll that people use to play with and pretend that they are real. In some video games a puppet may become real and even join the hero on his or her quest. Or they could be used in battle as a weapon or attack.
If a person is made of metal and has circuitry instead of a circulatory system, then their game belongs on this list.
Samurai, or Bushi (literally, "warriors") were a social class in feudal Japan, equivalent to Western aristocracy, knights.
Fauns and Satyrs are woodland spirits, seemingly composed of a man and a goat. Goat parts and human parts tend to vary from game to game.

Shaman are mediums between the mortal and spiritual realms. In games, they are often priests with the ability to heal via magic and crafted potions.
Arguably the most fearsome of all the reptiles - it has scales and no legs. Snakes use a variety of tactics to harm players such as poison, hypnosis, and constriction. The most deadly snakes have mastered the way of stealth.
An eight legged arachnid. Some make webs to catch prey and some are poisonous. None have made a web grand enough to be called a parlor, though.
Tengu are a type of bird-like Japanese monster.
Treants (Ents) are walking, talking trees. Typically they move and speak extremely slowly relative to most other creatures.
Vampires are undead, nocturnal creatures that subsist on blood. They have superhuman powers and are sometimes able to shape-shift. They are weak against sunlight, foreign objects stuck in and left in their hearts, decapitation and sometimes holy water and crosses.
