Summary
Like its 2001 predecessor, Lionhead Studios' 2005 release Black & White 2 gives the player the persona of a deity responsible for the maintenance and progress of a civilization. Correspondingly with the players choices, the appearance of the world changes, reflecting his nature as either benign or malevolent. The 2006 expansion pits the player against a rival deity, the Aztec god of the underworld, conjured by a small band of dispossessed Aztecs, the last surviving a catastrophic war with the Greeks (cf. main game). In revenge for his people's defeat, this underworld god reanimates the fallen Aztec warriors' corpses, which, pursuantly, make war on the Greeks and the player.
