I think the fact that Elenaour survives in all the endings and that some of her last words are "rapture is just the beginning" (I think) could point towards it being set outside of Rapture, but then again only the building you were in is destroyed leaving the rest of Rapture to be explored and would there really be a Bioshock set outside of Rapture?  

Who or what will we play as? We have now played as the visitor and a big daddy so what could be next? Big sister? Little sister? Military man from modern times? A splicer who regains some sanity and whom then would want to be normal again (or not if your evil?), I could see that working because you could have a guide trying to help you and another big baddy trying to show you that you should remain a splicer. Also the little sister mechanic would be interesting because you would have to have the adam to survive but everytime you get some adam you would lose more of your humanity.  

When would it be set? I dont see it being set at the outbreak of the civil war because the multilayer apparently covers that well enough but would they be able to have it be set 10,20,30 years after the outbreak without having it be too similar to the first two game? Personally I'd like it if Vinny's scenario played out where you and a squad of modern soldiers+some scientists go down to investigate . 
 
What are your thoughts about where they could take the series?

If it takes place outside of Rapture, I wonder if they're going to keep Bioshock as the name or just try to come up with a new "blank"-Shock.

In Bioshock 3 you play as a giant squid that has to destroy rapture.

I would really like to see the perspective of a splicer or little sister. Idk how combat would work as a little sister but I think it would be cool if you pulled it off.

I would absolutely love to play as Eleanor Lamb. Unfortunately, I believe her time was brief, and more than likely over. A Bioshock with Eleanor on the surface would not be Bioshock. The series can not leave Rapture. Bioshock is Rapture. Rapture is Bioshock.

I don't know what happens in Bioshock 3.

A new SystemShock would be good.

Why? Wouldn't a new story be much more fun? Bioshock 1 is great but Bioshock 2 is even better. "

I would want a prequel from the Rapture storyline. I found the story in BS2 to be un-fucking-bearable, I didn't care about any of the characters or events in the slightest.
