A staple of almost any racing game, the pit is the on-track location where players fix their cars, as well as modify their setups to account for changing track conditions.
The wheels are already in motion when you begin the race, there's no turning back.
Mostly dedicated to portable platforms like the Game Boy, the platform's hardware did not include built-in rumble feature. Game developers included the hardware needed for the vibration directly on the game's cartridge, often times requiring a dedicated battery as well.
A grid that is organized for the start of the race in rows of 2, 3 or more. Very useful for standing starts in various racing titles.
