Brooks was the only member of the main cast not to appear in The Fallen, likely due to it being released a year after the show was cancelled. He was replaced by Kevin Michael Richardson as Captain Sisko. Brooks did agree to appear in the 2006 Legacy game in which every Starfleet Captain appeared as a "sendoff" for the franchise. By the time of Star Trek Online's release, Brooks was well into retirement and unwilling or unable to voice Ben Sisko.
