Overview
Al McWhiggin is the secondary antagonist in Toy Story 2. He is depicted as the owner of Al's Toy Barn and a greedy toy collector who steals Woody in order to complete his collection which is to be sold to a Japanese museum.
Toy Story 2
Al is first introduced when Rex accidentally turns Andy's TV on, which plays a commercial for Al's Toy Barn featuring Al in a chicken costume.
Sometime later, Al visits a yard sale at Andy's house. After Woody saves Wheezy from being sold, he ends up being noticed by Al - who becomes excited once he gets a closer look at the toy. After finding Woody's hat, Al attempts to coerce Andy's mom to purchase Woody. After his attempts prove unsuccessful, Al creates a distraction in order to steal Woody and places him in the trunk of his car to be taken to his apartment.
When Al arrives into Japan, he quickly notices that his esteemed toy collection has mysteriously gone missing. He returns back to filming commercials, and looks visibly upset. In response to this, Hamm suggests that crime doesn't pay.
