"Yaeba" are crooked, prominent canine teeth that are seen as cute, or "moe" in a girl's smile in Japan.

There was an idol group of all yaeba girls called TYB48 when AKB48 first got popular, but there are only 3 of 'em, not 48...

@raszagal: Yes it is a Japanese made game, but the Romance of the Three Kingdoms is based in China so it is not Japanese related except for the making of the game. To be honest neither Japan or China would be happy to hear a comment like that since they do not have the best of relations.

While watching this, I started thinking that, "Aww, I wanted the real Kan'u and Ryofu. You know, the ones from Ikkitousen." There are too many adaptations of Romance Of The Three Kingdoms out there

For a game with hentai origins, in my opinion SF V has way more lewd female designs and costumes than this does.

They just don't get Japanese culture! I don't know how much you know about Japanese culture (I'm an expert), but hentai is a huge part of it.

As a fan of the Koihime series I'm excited to play this game.

I know y'all are into your Dynasty Warriors games (like me), but this game uses the Japanese names for the historical characters, so if you wanna play Lu Bu you gotta look for "Ryofu" on the character list.

Incidentally Jason chose Kakoton, who is Xiahou Dun and Jeff chose Sonken who is either Sun Quan or Sun Jian (Depending on whether or not it's supposed to be Sonken Jr. or Sonken Sr.).

For the second round Jason chose Yue Jin and Jeff chose Lu Bu.

Round 3: Jason - Cao Cao (You can almost tell from the name). Jeff - Guan Yu (You can almost tell from the halberd and the fact that she's a big girl)

Round 4: Jason - Lu Bu, Jeff - Zhao Yun.

Round 5: Jason - Zhang Fei, Jeff - Cao Cao.

Round 6: Jason - Zhao Yun, Jeff - Cao Cao.

That Jeff found a favorite in Cao Cao shows that, he too, is a man of ambition. That Jeff found a favorite in a character with drill hair, shows that he is a refined man of class and taste.

I do like how anime girl Sun Quan still manages to cut tables in half just like in real life.

Yeah, ditto, I'm annoyed that I ended up ordering this on Play-Asia for PS4 thinking it would NEVER EVER come out in the States, and then it gets published on Steam of all places, in English.

I pay attention to a lot of stupid poverty anime fighters, and I've never heard of this thing at all.

Furthermore, Jason, @unastrike, if you're reading this you should try Gleam of Force (or Glove On Fight). Just... look it up, there's english fan instructions on how to get it and make it work, because french bread stopped selling it years ago and their website for it is broken. It's got a lot of the mashy freeform stuff that you and Jeff seem to enjoy about obscure anime fighters (parry/dodge button, lots of move-clashing, combos/hitstun have a meter so that you can combo basically anything into anything for a little while if you land a heavy counter). It's not a standard style fighter at all, more boxing-based, but it's fun.

Not that they were negative I just suspect they may be a bit more negative if they ever look at my little indie fighter.

The only reason ive heard of this game is because one of my favorite indie japanese composer/coverartist people who calls himself Saitama Saisyu Heiki (S.S.H) made the music. He also made the music for eXceed 3rd JADE PENETRATE which is great.

He has made some good metal covers of video game music, you can find them all over youtube.

Seems a bit too shallow when compared to others like it. I haven't played it of course, so perhaps it has more depth than I'm seeing, but I'll stick to Nitro+ for all my "Women beating the hell out of each other because reasons" fighting game needs.

@jeff@unastrike You know, considering how few fighters actually come out, why don't Quick Looks for fighting games also just double as a ranking of fighter feature?

Exactly what I was thinking. Might as well get some science done. We even had the right scientists for this ql too.
