If you don’t romance Jacob, he somehow has even less dialogue than Alenko in ME1.

I thought romancing Thane and then going back to Liara was very touching. Thane is just awesome. But I would say the real MVP is Tali ? girl will always have my heart.

@thechris: To be fair, Kaiden has a fair amount of chatter in ME1, although a bunch of it is about the biotic implant stuff that the writers would lose interest in, as the series went on.

Just in case you're wondering Alex. If you choose to help Sidonis it's revealed that he's suffering from survivor's guilt because of his unwilling betrayal. (blue suns captured him and forced him to separate Garrus from the rest of his squad with a false lead, allowing the blue suns to capture and murder Garrus' team) He then apologizes to Garrus and turns himself into C-Sec.

Garrus has such good dialogue for when you get further in his romancing, it made me fall in love with Garrus all over replaying it.

Does this mean Alex now misses out on one of the sweetest small moments from Mass Effect 3 involving Tali and Garrus? I sure hope not. Also very curious to see what happens with Liara post shadow broker after Alex has started down this path.

Now that Shepard has initiated the romance path with Garrus, does this mean she'll stop immediately acting thirsty every time she talks to Jacob now?

Fun fact: I was playing along with this and forgot what happens if you don't immediately go in after the kidnappings. So, since I'm a big goodie goodie, I'm going to have to reload a hours old save and/or restart outright in order to avoid the...unpleasantness. If it didn't give me a chance to play more ME2, I'd be pretty crabby about it.

I forgot how much of this game was just people lining up to kiss Shepherd's ass.

If the comment opinions matter I totally would like to see you do the Garrus romance too, Alex! All of them are good here but Garrus, especially in ME3 (if it goes that way) is by far my favorite video game romance ever! But he is still an awesome bro too if you go that route, I'll be here to watch and enjoy no matter who Shep Shep ends up with!

The Citadel DLC cements Garrus as the best romance option, so I really hope Alex sticks with it.

I like how much of a bro Bailey is to Shepard and Thane immediately. Aside from Garrus' mission, I don't think Shepard and Bailey have ever interacted prior to this mission. And he's just willing to help you despite his arrangement with Elias Kellam, brush Thane's murder history under the rug, and give Kolyat community service for attempted murder.

Also FYI, Thane's tailing loyalty mission has a fail state and you can avoid getting his loyalty. This can happen if you don't update in time or don't successfully get by the guy cleaning the vents. Cool Alex got it first try. As a matter of fact, he's been getting pretty lucky with getting the loyalty of his squadmates; I definitely missed a few my first playthrough.

Maybe not quite yet. I think the romance needs to progress one more stage and I'm not sure if Mordin's mission needs to be completed before he changes up his dialogue. But yes, Dr. Solus should be consulted for sure.

My favourite thing about one of the Soviet probes to Venus: there was an instrument to measure soil compressibility by basically poking a very carefully calibrated stick into it. They had also had cameras on their previous probes, with fancy lenscaps to protect them from the high-pressure and corrosive atmosphere of Venus. Problem was they wouldn't come off when they were supposed to. Finally, one probe landed, the lenscap ejected successfully, and landed directly where the soil probe was pointed, giving a very good measurement of the compressibility of a titanium lenscap and absolutely nothing about Venus
