I have a question it was a point and click computer game-- moreso for kids in the 90's. It had you following a dog and his quest to get his bone back because something took it through a hole he dug. On the way underground, he encountered a variety of weird shit including aliens. I think the dogs name was spike or something but I'm not sure.
The "Can't remember the name of this game" Thread v3.0
No sadly not.
- Same kinda graphics but more colourful and more zoomed in on the dude.
- Background is detailed like this and not older games in the franchise.
- No platforming just moving right.
- Think you only collect what you need like electroman, no coins from what I remember.
- I'm going to say the guys hair was blonde.
- Enemies were like robots I think not happy blobs with smiley faces XD
There was a last-gen military shooter that ended with the player killing Osama Bin Ladin. It wasn't an especially good game, it all took place in the desert, and it was considered offensive by some for its VERY pro-war attitude. I was like 14 when I saw the review, so my memory is a little faded, but I'm pretty sure this is all accurate.
Thanks in advance
This one has bothered me for years. I played this game, probably only once, at a friends house on one of those machines that looks like a Super Nintendo, only instead of carts you use floppy disks.
It was some sort of action game seen from the side but I can't remember if you had guns to shoot with or fought with your body. It was a two player game and there were two characters to chose from, one male and one female. I remember the male character being blue and the female being red, as in the sprites only used one color.
When I think about it I picture them looking a bit like neon signs in that they had outlines that shone in blue or red but not many details beyond that, could be my imagination though, it was a long time ago.You walked from left to right but in the second stage you went from right to left...I think. We didn't get further than that. Don't remember anything about the enemies but I imagine it must've been a contra or beat 'em up style game. I think the lady character had pretty long hair, I remember being bummed since I thought she was cooler than the male character, but so did my friend so I was stuck playing as the guy.
If anyone could put my mind at ease on this matter it would be greatly appreciated.
This should be an easy one. I remember playing a Medal of Honor game at my friends house a couple years back on his Gamecube. Me, him and his brother stayed up pretty damn late a couple times just playing splitscreen. I can't remember what the subtitle on the specific one was called but I wanted to try to find it cheap at EB or something. I never played the SP on this one but I remember one of the MP maps was a mansion with a single truck outside, a kitchen area, a courtyard area with curtains you could walk through and hide behind, and a theater area with a balcony for sniping. Used to love this game, love to paly it again.
I'm pretty sure there were only three MOH games released on gamecube. Frontline had no multiplayer and Rising Sun which I played to death had no multiplayer level which matches your description. That leaves Europeon Assault which I didn't play but if it's the only other game to come out on gamecube it must be it." This should be an easy one. Edit: Here's a video of some multiplayer from the game. Do the guns and HUD match what you remember?

It was not first person, just normal. It also was very cartoony as opposed to that real style you linked." @Clinkz said:

"
Did you actually drive the vehicles or was it a RTS like World in Conflict?" Does anyone remember way back when PC Gamer did a preview and had ads for this multiplayer game that was like NATO vs RUSSIA and you could control any military vehicles or something like that? I remember being hyped for it and then it turned it sucked. The name of the game was the german word for Soldier, but I can't remember how it was spelled. "
Here's a list of all the words for a German soldier. Does that mean the title of the game is only one word?
Edit: You never replied to Amtiskaw answer a month ago was he right?
Sounds like Söldner
I was gonna ask about Blake Stone, but I remembered the name of it as I typed out the details. Damn...
The first game i can remember playing as a kid. It was on the NES.
-You started out under water. You had to like hop on bubbles to float to the top
-There was something where you sprayed a plant to get by it
-And there was like a mine cart riding thing were if you chose the wrong path you fell into a hole and died
trying to rack my brain to find some more info.
I have found an in game emulator if that helps. It has everything you mentioned as minigames. There is a game just of bubble hopping called Bubble Dizzy as well, but I don't believe contains mine carts.

I cant remember the title of a game that came out on pc maby dos, around 1993-97 guessing.
Parts that i remember you play as a boy stuck in a jungle harbour setting because you loose your father. You find a passport so you can use a boat.
later on you become stuck in quicksand then use a vine/rope and lasso around a pig/boar which pulls you to safety.
It is a click and point adventure game. I will be amazed if someone can guess it from that
For reference, I never played the console call of duty's until they were the PC ports.
edit: Actually, now that I think of it that level was NOT in the Medal of Honor for Gamecube. It was actually in the PC version of the original Call of Duty. Another game I played a lot. I guess I'm just posting to clarify there WAS multiplayer in the GCN version of Frontline
Hi guys,
I'm not sure if this really fits into the theme of the thread, but here is one for you.
It was a side-scrolling space shooter a la Galaga or Einhander, advancing from left to right. On the internet, flash-based, from roughly a few years ago. There were decent graphics, although they did look a little bit too generic. You caught powerups from defeated ships in the typical manner. Short, easy, fun.
The two major defining characteristics were that the powerups you could get were color-themed. You could continue to upgrade red, which was spread weapons, blue which was kind of like glowy electric orbs/shielding, and green was laser-y. If you got a different color powerup you had to start over with the basic weapon in that color. There was also a vague kind of dragon theme in the title art and ship architecture.
Any takers?
- Definitely the same vibe.
- (1.00) It has this much detail for the backgrounds. From the bit I played the city was shown in the day, it was bright/ colourful and had in the distance something like the space needle in seattle.
- It was a straight path and didn't really deviate from what I played of it.
- Camera was further out on the character.
- Character just walked no board. Less cool dude more normal kid.
- Game froze when I fired a gun so I can't give you any info on that.
- HUD wasn't that complicated. Really not sure but I think there were hearts top left.
I'm going to have another look in my parent's loft next time i'm round as I don't think it exists on the web.
http://www.gamespot.com/gamecube/action/medalofhonorfrontline/review.html First paragraph.
Actually solved this one by pure chance. Bought the new MoH game on PS3 that came with Frontline and while it's sadly the PS2 version sans multiplayer I recognize the menus. It was Frontline.
"Bought the new MoH game on PS3 that came with Frontline"I haven't heard anyone talk about the HD remake did they do a good job on it or was it rushed?
Kinda hard for me to judge since as I said before I only ever played MP at my friends, never touched the single player. The controls feel a little weird to me. They added a new control scheme which is alot more CoD like, as well as iron sights but even on the new scheme there's stupid stuff like Reload being on L2. It seems to be fine though, no bugs, glitches or anything and the graphics are on par with every other PS2 HD remake so far. Incredibly dissapointed they didn't put in the MP though considering both the Xbox and GC versions had it. Would've been fantastic to have that. As it is I'm gonna trade it in once I beat the Frontline SP =/.
Does anyone know the name of a game where you controlled characters like the sims, but it was set in olden times. You could trade, rob, craft and even get into politics and become mayor or king. I remember it being called 'Settlers' or maybe I'm way off, obviously that is not exactly it. It's not too too old now, 3d graphics etc.
They made a modernized version when they hit number 6. The game was called The Settlers: Rise of an Empire
This is a QL of the 7th game in the franchise.

Good work everyone!!!
OK so I've been trying to find this game for ages, i'm pretty sure it was on the sega megadrive (genesis) and you played as this red guy (looked kind alike a kidney bean if i remember correctly). I was pretty young so everything I remember is vague - used a raygun sometimes, they were enemy raccoons (think they stole your spaceship?), and I think there was a boss fight with soem bird on a pirate ship. There was also a level where you did stuff with potions I think. I distinctly remember a bonus round where you shot rabbits with your raygun, or maybe I'm going crazy. If anyone remembers the name I'll be eternally grateful, It's been bugging me for years!
