    Overview

Formed in 1991 by Alvin Gottlieb, the son of Gottlieb founder David Gottlieb, Alvin G. & Co. was the family's attempt to get back into the pinball business after the original Gottlieb was sold off in the 1970s. They weren't able to use the Gottlieb name, and had to build out their own new factory space in a warehouse west of the Gottlieb Memorial Hospital in Melrose Part, Illinois.

Alvin G. was relatively shortlived, putting out around half-a-dozen tables before closing down in 1994. The factory space is now part of the hospital campus.
