Will we see any shank-style stabbing like Uh, Uh, Uh, Uh, Uh? Only one way to find out.

This looks average and probably interesting to some people who still care for the world of the AC.

While I love the setting and most of the things about this game (especially the art/graphics) is there really any reason to play this game over just replaying Mark of the Ninja?

Every still, or screen shot looked wonderful due to the art style. But the animation just looks clunky as hell.

Also, that new voice actor for Ezio is absolutely jarring!

Is this the AC1 of the Assassin's Creed Chronicles?

Just like the main Assassin's Creed games, this one has the screen cluttered with a bunch of crappy UI too. There's no need for that.

Honestly I'm a bit bored by this though it seems to be no fault of their own but rather the game itself. Judging from reviews the whole game is a bit same-y. Looks nice, but all the AssCreed UI nonsense detracts a bit from it.

I'm not really seeing in what whys this is trying to be different from Mark of the Ninja. It's not necessarily a bad thing though.

Also, looks like East has inherited the Giant Bomb audio sync issues.

Seems all right. A less crisp version of Mark of the Ninja. I have to wonder, though, if the animus flourishes are as distracting while playing as they appeared in this quick look.

I was worried this would be like those 2.5D Castlevania and Batman games where they tried to recreate the combat from the main games. I still think they could've adapted the combat better for 2D, but that's probably just because I want this to be exactly like Mark of The Ninja. The series has felt directionless since 3, but this could be a bright spot as the franchise very slowly crashes and burns.

Guard AI is very accurate. Just imagine they don't want to be there and they consider their position a mere formality.

Looks like a lesser version of Mark of the ninja to me.

The sea looks nice and i like that moving curtains will alert the guards. But what's the point of getting spotted if the guards won't even move towards you if you're on a different plane? It's just a 'wait 10 seconds and you'll be fine' kind of thing.

Graphically the sea background was pretty nice. But he foreground stuff, the ship interior, sails, they all look pretty mediocre. There are indie games of this ilk that look better.

Also seems like theres still a lot of combat happening, making it possible to mow down guards since they are so stiff that you can mow down one before the other one reacts. Alex mowed through 3 dudes without losing health. If he got hit , no worries. Just wait 10 seconds and you're good to go. The combat animations also look very stiff.

Also way too many hints popping up. Every corner of the screen is constantly filled with crap and whenever a interactable object pops up theres even more shit in the middle of the screen. And ofcourse, auto-regen health shouldn't be in a stealth game.

That menu..... Why would you have that menu design with a new art style game? It's the graphic designer in me that's raging but, c'mon. Anyone can see that's just lazy.

The art design is really cool. But all the visual cone and whatever those floor effect markers mean, are very annoying and take away from the art design. If those can be turned off that's great.

And that UI. Wow is that confusing. That just screams laziness and a lack of any design creativity.

Nope. It's basically an inferior version of Mark of the Ninja with an AC coating.

I dunno. Seems like more Mark of the Ninja and unlike most people I didn't find Mark of the Ninja all that fun.

I don't like the vagueness of classic stealth games, but I find clarifying that vagueness made for an easy and equally unsatisfying game.

I had a similar response to Mark of the Ninja, which the GB guys all seemed to have loved. I'm more of a fan of classic stealth, however, and I really loved Dishonored, which came out around the same time and was their main point of comparison.

The lack of overt feedback never bothered me about things like it or Thief, and I kind of prefer puzzling things out from the first person perspective, skulking around, listening for cues in the environment, etc. While it could lead to some situations where you'd goof up and have to restart a particular section, I was okay with the slower, more deliberate pace it encourages.

Also, I suck at platforming, and Mark of the Ninja punished you pretty severely for not having good reflexes.

This has almost everything Mark of the Ninja has except it lacks the bullet time feature that tells you the consequences of your actions before you take them. The .5D stuff seems all right. Certainly not a game I'm itching for.

Vision cones destroy the otherwise beautiful aesthetic of the game. Just let players find out on their own about how far the guys can see. Don't need giant triangles everywhere.
