Xbox 360 Celebration Pack

It's the year of the Union Jack and even the Xbox 360 is joining in on the fun. As part of the UK-only "Celebration Pack", this 4GB glossy white console + Kinect camera + controller comes with "Union Jack" vinyl skins that keep the system clean and Games-ready. Of course, this boxset includes all the usual suspects:Kinect Sports, Kinect Adventures, as well as a three-month Xbox LIVE Gold membership.

What's the occasion? I have no idea what or why we have a "Union Jack year." So, please enlighten me. Also, while it may not be that alluring for me, I can see the appeal.

I found it on gadget page of the Olympics. It sucks its UK only i already have 2 360's but if this was for sale here i would buy it.

Cause it's the fucking Olympics, where have you been?

A: It's just Vinyls, they aren't printed directly onto the system. That will not outlast my NES.

B: I already have a Kinect, why does MS keep trying to make my buy one? I want a bigger HDD, so why don't they take their Star Wars bundle, ditch the Kinect (and the game YESIKNOWSHUTUP) and sell it to me with a big drive. With Star Wars on it. I R Frustrated.

C: I want one of these anyway because I'm a lunatic who collects games indiscriminately.

Where's all this Union Jack coming from? The flag is called "The flag of the Union" not the union Jack for the misinformed: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Union_Flag

Would prefer the console if it had the English flag design though :P

It's hard to know which is more annoying: the people who shout "that's not dubstep" every time it shows up on GB, or the people that shout "that's not the Union Jack" every time it shows up on GB.

It's a vinyl cover that you don't need to buy the console to get. There are many third parties that sell console covers that you'll find with a quick search. Some are amazingly cool as well.
