I have to say I had almost no interest in this game until the Quick Look. Looks like just the over the top gameplay and nostalgia I can get behind. While the initial roster is impressive (well except for some of the "Superstars") looking at the IGN roster list they have a rather mind boggling number of wrestlers to add in DLC.
Get a load of this:
-Big Bossman
-Chris Jericho
-Cody Rhodes
-Dusty Rhodes
-Jerry "The King" Lawler
-Mark Henry
-Michael Hayes
-R-Truth
-Road Warrior Animal
-Road Warrio Hawk
-"The Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase
I might have to buy this game just to get the Road Warriors. I can't decide if I should applaud them for releasing a game with a full roster and having all this DLC ready to go or if I should be upset they'll be charging me probably $80 or $90 total.

Legends and current superstars go at it in this over-the-top wrestling game from THQ's San Diego studio.
This game has an impressive set of DLC planned.
The fact that you will have to explain why you have a wrestling game sitting on your shelf should be the more important deciding factor in this purchase.
Id be upset if that Million Dollar Man DLC didn't also include Virgil, or If Dusty Rhodes wasn't accompanied to the ring by a ham sandwich and a translator.
This game caught my eye, too, and if I actually had friends to play with, it would probably be pretty awesome.
Ted DiBiase, don't know how I didn't see him not in the quick look.
Man if your spending $80 on something and your getting enjoyment who cares, It's more then worth the cash (unless you have 17 starving children, and you are neglecting them. In that case your a huge asshole)
@pigmartyr: If you're picking games based on how people will judge you when they see your collection, well then you need to get yourself a better selection process. Trust me cool people are more likely to see the awesomeness in your collection and point it out, not shit all over it like a stuck up jagoff.
Two things.
A) Why the fuck isn't Jericho in the game already?
B) Who gives a shit about R-Truth when Booker T has been around twice as long?
They should have put most if not all of those characters in the actual game. 30 characters isn't enough especially considering that SVR11 has about 70-90. The game is awesome, however the people's elbow is a bit disappointing as well as the current day WWE stars.
" @Malakhii: It was a joke because its wrestling. I mean seriously wrestling. Wrestling in the 80s was cool when i was 10 and thought it was real. Wrestling in 2011 is just sad and demystified. "If Chyna came over your house though........... She would be totally into you.

Everybody on that list except R-Truth are ace.
Gotta suck for Goldust to see both his dad and baby brother in there.
I'd lol/love to see a super roided up Daniel Bryan in this
My buddy rented it tonight and we're planning to make a night of it.
I can't remember the last time I was even remotely interested in a wrestling game, let alone planning a get-together around one.
PS:
Needs Kurt Angle.
The All American American... Is really just a Angle Impostor. And a bad one at that.

...says the guy with the Dave Coulier pic ;)
" Needs Kurt Angle. The All American American... Is really just a Angle Impostor. And a bad one at that. "I don't know if they would include Kurt Angle due to how he left WWE. Would be awesome though as he is my most favorite wrestler of all time right after Kane.
" Wrestling: The last bastion of the closeted homosexual "Yeah, it's totally gay. Just like how video games are toys for little kids...
I really wish Kurt would return and end his career in the WWE. He's been mismanaged in TNA for eons now.
I'm also drooling for a potential Kurt Angle vs Daniel Bryan match. Imagine the American Olympic Hero vs The American Dragon.
Even with the state of Angle's neck, he's still showed that he still can go with the right opponent in TNA.
Unfortunately he's been wallowing in this terrible angle with Jeff Jarrett for what seems like an eternity.
I'd much rather have Alberto Del Rio over R-Truth for modern people, Del Rio plays such a good heel. This list looks pretty great though, Million Dollar Man, Bossman, and Jerry Lawler sound all kinds of awesome. Personally I'd love to see Mick Foley and Diesel/Kevin Nash in there for Legends, then that would be everyone I'd like to see from the old(ish) days.
EDIT: How could I forget Jim Duggan?

"Yeah, I'd want to see Mick Foley. He should come out as Mankind with a can of Chef Boyardee
" The lack of Mick Foley is completely disheartening, big glaring omission from the game in my opinion. Would really love to see some Cactus Jack, Mankind or Dude Love in there. "Isn't Mick Foley wrestling for TNA?
Not to condone WWE buying all the compotition, but I wish they would buy TNA just so we can have people like Rick Flair and Mick Foley in games.
Been playing it on the Wii, though its not as impressive visually as the Xbox 360's version its actually a fun wrestling game. The nice thing is the controls are simple enough that you won't have to really put in a lot of time to figure out how to play. For the DLC, I doubt the Wii version will get these guys (Big Bossman should have been included day 1!). Not to mention the Wii game doesn't have the online mode that the 360 has!!! I don't know what it is about the Wii seems like there versions always lose out on online play.
