As part of the centenary of the start of the first World War, the European Broadcasting Union, EBU, which you may know as the organization behind the Eurovision Song Contest, have published a series of radio plays from across Europe, in their native languages with English subtitles (if they don't pop up automatically, press the CC button on the player) about that era. On a video game related note, one of the Czech contributions is about a couple of teenage boys trying out the WWI FPS Verdun, in a piece titled Pro Patria Mori ("To die for your country").
The main site featuring all the plays is available at http://www3.ebu.ch/calendar/world-war-1-centenary/europe-1914
