I've come to expect an innumerable amount of bullets from my shmups. I realize that this is a really old one but once you play games like TriggerHeart, Ikaruga, Castle of Shikigami and Touhou this seems to tame.

I only wish I could play more shmups... I even thought of importing a 360 but I soon realized that it was a bad idea... but I still want to.

Respect the classics. You dont have to play them or like them, just respect them.

I liked that crap in the japanese home, but i hope i dont need to buy this shit.

Something to do in Home is always nice even if you only do it the once. LOL I may redownload Home as it seems to be getting some half decent content at last.

I loved Xevious when I was a kid, but..
A good trailer for this kind of game would show an exciting moment from a later level, with the screen full of ships, lasers and bullets. That looked like 10 seconds of footage from level 1. Too bad.
If they released ESP RaDe or a Cave-like shooter on PSN or XBLA, people would die from the surprise. haha.

Not much showed, but I guess bombing and shooting was pretty much it for Xevious :)  Will be cool to see how they vary the playing fields and maybe add some enemies. 

What I liked about this game was that the further you got in the game, the weirder the fields started to look.  Eventually it went all Nazca, which was kinda creepy because that was where you would get swarmed by some rather deadly craft (and there were a bunch of hidden targets in the great bird Nazca thing, at least in the 7800 version).

It's like they tried to Ikaruga it without the fun.

Not really impressed with what I saw, but that start-up tune is still one of the greats.

Um, no I don't want to buy this game.

Are the sound effects the same? It sounds pretty retro.
